Our little piece of heaven...

is filled with birds!  This spring, I've noticed so much singing from the birds in our pines.  I love it.  It's a little like going into the Rainforest House at the zoo without the stank or the humidity.  Lovely chirping and singing all day long.

I knew that the growing pines would offer a bit of privacy from the neighbors, but I didn't even think of this added benefit.  I never knew sitting on my patio would sound so good.


Oh, how things in The Compound have grown...

Just five years ago this was the view from our patio door.  A three year old boy playing in the pine trees.

Now it's a playground for cardinals.
