The Writing Prompt
: “Imagine your future self, ie, you 10 years from now. If he/she were to send you a tweet or text message,   1) what would it say and 2) how would that transform your life or change something you’re doing, thinking, believing or saying today?”  Tia Singh
The Writing...

My 10 year tweet - “Hang in there! The only way to stand apart from the crowd is to climb above them or to push through them.  Either way-it’s hard work and it takes time, and once your there you have to constantly work to avoid being dragged back down or sucked back in.”
Clearly Twitter will be more than 140 characters in 2021!

The message reminds me that I live an existence of peace & love and no one can stop me from doing so unless I allow it.  If I want to teach that existence to my children, I can’t preach it - I must live it! I must associate with people living similar lives with similar values.  I must trust myself when I see or feel a trapper.  A trapper is one who likes the status quo because they fear change and will do anything to avoid it. We all have the ability to bypass traps set by these trappers. Traps with the only purpose to keep us from growing and changing. Traps meant to preserve was is, even if what is - is NOT what is meant to be. These traps prevent us from evolving into what our own self-directed life wants us to become. Only we decide how our lives proceed, not our boss, our weight or our bank account. Not our friends, “The Jones” or the God we believe in.  We decide!
I recently started following @beingtricia on twitter and man, does this girl get it.  Her twitter profile picture is her holding up a sign that says “F^@& YOUR FEARS”...which I LOVE...a lot! She recently posted the following statement and it pretty much sums up what I’m trying to say. ”It is not what you have to do, it is what you get to do and you get to choose it all! Choose it or change it.....Your life belongs to you.”
Speak what you think now in hard words, and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said today. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
