That's my daughter...

My Daily Affirmations for Parents book has this to say on July 17.

Today I value a steady and constant kind of love.  I am deeply fortunate to have people in my life who have loved me through good & bad times. To love and leave and love and leave and love and leave is a sad repetition of a cycle of pain.  There is a kind of strength and calm in being able to give love and accept love. My children seem to have this capacity naturally.  It is such a challenge to simply live with love on a day-to-day basis. That kind of all-around love is a quiet thing.

I can live with love in my life.

Whoever loves, if he do not propose
The right true end of love, he's one that goes
To sea for nothing but to make him sick.
John Donne

Tonight, I took these photos of the most loving little girl, I've ever known. Not sickeningly sweet, but genuinely loving. There is a difference. Being loving doesn't always mean being agreeable, pleasant and polite. A loving person can also be bold, honest to a fault and completely relaxed.

Living a truly loving life demands being yourself, and I don't know anyone more comfortable with herself than Miss Rosie.
