Well, for starters Henry Ross Stauffacher! My brother Eric & his wife Adrienne had little Hank on Sunday November 8th. I have not been to see him yet, but in the pictures he looks adorable. The Compound has been swimming in swine flu and I am not taking that to my newest nephew so I will have to wait a bit. My own family has been healthy so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get it from the neighbors.
Sophia is smitten with his picture too. She has been asking if it is Saturday yet so she can see the baby, because last Saturday they were in the hospital having the baby, and she thought he were going to rush right up to hold him, change his diaper, feed him and all the other things Sophia loves about babies. Lucky for us, Sophia is not quite clear on the calendar concepts yet so Saturday is always a few days away.
Secondly, this is new...
So yeah, it is official. I am registering for classes next week and will start on the 19th of January. I thought I'd get a head start on the whole back to college thing so that is why I look totally stoned in the picture. I did that totally on purpose!
Yesterday, as I went to get all of this stuff started and I looked at the sea of 18-22 year olds, I couldn't help but think that Owen is closer in age to some of these "kids" than I am.
My child is closer to college age than I am...did you hear me people?
How the *&^% did that happen?
And to round out this busy week, I am prepping for Couches & Cocktails Retail Therapy! I purchased a few bottles of wine 13 yesterday. It should be a blast so if you are in the area stop by.
There is my little update on my week so far and it is only Wednesday AM.
